The New Hire Export allows the system Admin to configure required data for exporting new hire information. When you hire a job applicant, a New Hire File is created and used to combine and organize data from multiple sources for export into payroll and/or other HR information systems. Sources include details already collected from the application, additional information obtained from the new hire after the initial application is completed, and organizational information entered by a Human Resources representative.
Exporting and importing the data in one file eliminates the need to enter this information manually into other employee management applications.
Begin using the New Hire Export feature by Configuring the New Hire Export.
New Hire Export Access
To access the New Hire Export feature, click the user profile drop-down in the upper-right corner of the page and select Onboarding. The resulting page presents a list of new hires in chronological order along with relevant new hire status information.
New Hire Files
After you click "Hire" in your Applicant Tracking System for an applicant, a New Hire File will be created. The New Hire files will be listed within the Onboarding section of your system. The New Hire List displays in chronological order with sortable columns of important status information.
Click a name to navigate to that applicant’s individual New Hire File where you will see a list of your previously configured fields containing information that was mapped from their application, from the organizational data provided by your HR department, and/or from additional data requested from the New Hire.

When all required fields have been completed, the New Hire File can be exported. Depending on your needs, the files can be exported as a CSV individually or in bulk.
Individual New Hire File Exports
- Open the individual New Hire File.
- Click Export, and the individual CSV file will download.
Bulk New Hire File Exports
- From the New Hires tab in Onboarding, check the boxes for all of the hires you'd like to export.
- To limit the export only to new hires with a status of Completed, use the Select Status filter.
- Click export and your bulk CSV file will download
Once exported, the New Hire List will show the date and time that the New Hire File was last exported.
Tip: If a New Hire Export contains blank fields, but you were expecting these fields to be populated, review the New Hire File status, as it may be Not Completed or In Progress.
